Sanjoy Barua

Sanjoy is a corporate slave waiting to break the shackles to chase his dream of creative writing and movie making. He has been suffering from random creative outbursts since his childhood but never really pursued it seriously. Then one day, he stumbled upon the poignant story of his maternal grandmother's escape from Dhaka to Assam during the turbulent times of the Partition of India in 1947. Over the years, he assimilated the information and wove it into a fictional portrayal, which became his first novel, turning him into a part-time writer.

Sanjoy believes in simple but engaging storytelling, and is determined to carve out tales of struggle and triumph from the human experience. He lives in Gurgaon with his wife and two daughters.
