When Amish set out to write the Shiva Trilogy in 2008, it all began with a simple question- What is evil? Since then, Amish has found that the question while simple, has no straight answer. Evil needs good as much as good needs evil. Not only that, his quest led him to the realization that polar opposites serve a function, and hence originated the masculine and feminine way of life, the yin and the yang... As well as the realization that while most people view life in absolutist terms, it is all about the grey areas. How the various avatars of the Vishnu and the Mahadev himself redefine society, based on their function as the Nurturer or the Destoryer.

In Amish's earlier series - the Shiva trilogy, you were presented a compelling story of an alien who comes to India. As he is removed from the players on the chessboard, Shiva is able to logically and systematically find the root of Evil and eradicate it, allowing society to rebuild itself. But that left Amish with a compelling need to tell you the story of how Meluha actually came about.

Picking up the clues and threads in the Shiva narrative, Amish brings to you the RAM CHANDRA SERIES, which continue to focus on Amish’s core philosophies, but adds a twist. In Amish’s new series, the essential question isn’t what is good or evil, but what can be done to improve mankind’s state. Here Amish deals with the cyclical nature of Life and society and how mankind can’t help itself but ends up doing the same thing over and over.

History literally keeps repeating itself, leaving Amish with the question: Can man actually rise above his petty concerns and daily tribulations for the greater good?
