Andrew Otis
Andrew is a PhD candidate at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism. He was a Fulbright-Fellow to India in 2013 to 2014, and lived in Kolkata where he researched journalism in early India. His work has been profiled in the Telegraph, Business Economics Magazine and Mid-Day India.
He was also a 2011 Joseph P. O’Hern Scholar, and researched British colonial newspapers in London. He holds a BA in History from the University of Rochester, and has a background in journalism, having interned with National Public Radio - the U.S. government’s popular public radio network.
