Guniya was born and raised in Jammu. She wrote her first poem when she was nine years old, unaware that writing would become such a big part of her life; not until ninth grade when a story started sprouting in her brain. A story she wanted to tell.
Orchard of Love is her debut work, which explores generational trauma in the scenic setting of Kashmir and Dehradun, inspired by her trips to Srinagar as a child.
Guniya currently lives in Jammu and works at a media production company. She continues to write and is working on her second book.
