Poonam Saha
Born in Ranchi, Poonam Saha grew up travelling across India, sampling and learning to appreciate cultures, languages, cuisines, and people. In her teenage years, she accidentally witnessed her grandmother reliving horrific memories of the Partition in a semi-conscious state, which led to her interest in the woman’s perspective of the biggest human migration in history. Years later, she stumbled upon helping authors research and write. What followed was an inevitable story, born out of more than five years of research, and a lifetime of memories and sagas that laced together to become Amrit. Poonam currently lives in Hong Kong, where she shares her home with her husband, two daughters, and the people who walk in and out of her stories.
