ISBN:1397328992

31 are the days in the month of March, the closing of India’s financial year. 31 are also the number of days of that month when most companies go all out to close the year on a high. But what happens when you head the only team that seems to be showing profits in an otherwise tottering multi-national bank?
Ravi Shastry is a man on the move. He is successful, runs a tight ship and delivers results, his entire team looks up to him, his wife loves him and so does a colleague, who if looks are to be believed never really got over him. His boss respects his choices and even hints that he is headed for bigger and better things. The day is March 1.
Within the space of a week, the bank’s Brazil operations are shut down, the US subsidiary is in a mess and soon the global restructuring wave pounds the Indian ops  – Ravi’s operations and his team. Living under the daily threat of being laid off, Ravi’s live derails when he finds out that his wife, is not only expecting, but could also be laid off as her company has decided to shift its operations to another destination abroad. To make things worse, an Internal Audit is on which points the finger at Ravi.
31 are the number of days Ravi Shastry has to clear his name. March 31 is also the deadline which will make or break him. Can Ravi clear himself? 31 takes you to the seamier side of the banking sector. 31 reveals how banks in a bid to meet targets cut corners, how discretionary powers are abused and how unscrupulous gangs defraud them of thousands of dollars in credit card spends.
31 also reveals how simple it really is to frame another co-worker if you have the right access keys. But above all, 31 is a race against time, where Ravi struggles to find the balance between ambition and ethics and fights the ultimate battle against an enemy who he sees everyday, but does not know.
Will he succeed? Well, 31 days will tell the story...
