Shweta Modgil is the author of “One Hundred Days” and an eternal dreamer. An engineer and a business graduate by education, a Research Analyst in the Automobile sector by profession, she discovered writing was her one solid penchant when her parents gifted her first fountain pen. Since then she has been avidly writing for school magazines, college magazines and of late on her blog. While reading, writing, and travelling she discovered her love for poetry and started writing a poetry blog titled-http://witnessofthemeltingpot.blogspot.com/. The name comes from her belief that she’s one of the witnesses to the great melting pot of life where always something is interesting is brewing. Mountains and photography move her. Born and bred in the mountains, she retreats to them once in a while to recharge her nerves. When not reading and writing about cars on the job, she is neck deep into reading classics, philosophy, fiction, and non-fiction. She is also a part of a theatre group called Dramatech based out of IIT, New Delhi and spends her weekends being some one else. Currently she’s acting in a production of three short plays titled “The Weekend Cocktail” which has successfully been staged ten times on the Delhi theatre circuit in 2011. “One Hundred Days” is her debut novel.
