Following a string of seemingly random deaths of NRIs in India, London-based reporter Jannat Gill is packed off on a punishment assignment: ‘Investigate the nexus of London NRIs hiring contract killers in Punjab’. She arrives in Punjab, blind and without leads.  Jannat meets terrified victims of the nexus, including her dead friend Preet's parents, who refuse to tell her anything. At this time, she also meets suave Punjab da puttar; Rajveer Khanna. She basks in the newfound love, just as Rajveer feels he has finally found his true soulmate.
